February 11, 2004 Keefer’s To Donate Percentage Of Sales
To Juvenile Diabetes Foundation Keefer’s Restaurant will donate 20 percent of its food & beverage sales from lunch and dinner service on February 26, 2004 to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. This philanthropic contribution coincides with the festivities on Kinzie Street, between Harry Caray’s and Keefer’s restaurants, where an attempt to set a record for the world’s largest simultaneous toast to Harry Caray will be made. “It’s an honor for Keefer’s to contribute something to such a worthy cause,” said Glenn Keefer, partner and general manager of Keefer’s. “Hopefully this donation will help raise money to find a cure for a disease that has touched the lives of so many.”
